Where I practice
I was born in Iowa and moved to Colorado as a teenager. I chose a career in medicine because it allows me to help people on a daily basis, often when they are facing some of the most difficult challenges of their lives. I love being a doctor. It is a real privilege for me to care for my patients and improve their lives. I strive to facilitate open, reliable communication where patients feel relaxed and at ease to discuss their health concerns. I offer my patients convenience and can answer their questions by email, phone or video visit. I believe that patients will teach you more about medicine than any book ever will.
About my practice
I am a board certified pulmonary specialist who specializes in diagnosing and treating people with a variety of lung diseases and in particular COPD, asthma and lung cancer. I work closely with several medical specialties and my team of nurses to provide my patients with personalized care that is tailored to your specific needs and lifestyle. We care and we listen to you! I am able to perform several procedures including bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound. I am also a board certified sleep specialist and medical director of the sleep department. I specialize in treating all types of sleep disorders including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and restless legs syndrome.
How I thrive
I spend a lot of my time being around people. It is what gives me energy and inspires me. Being from Colorado, I cannot help but be active and enjoy our state’s natural beauty. One of the most spontaneous things I have done was to summit Mt. Bierstadt, one of our state’s 14ers. I will never forget the spectacular views I saw from the summit. Other than exploring our state, I love to cook. My specialty is smoked foods.
