My gender: Female
Not accepting new patients. Please call 1-855-208-7221.
I’m originally from Harrisonburg, Virginia, but spent much of my childhood overseas in Bangladesh, Swaziland, and Kenya, where my dad worked in public health economics. I wanted to be a doctor ever since I was in the seventh grade. I was fortunate to attend Eastern Virginia Medical School and then completed my family medicine residency training at Swedish Medical Center. We loved Denver so much that my husband and I decided to stay here and I'm delighted to be working at Kaiser Permanente since 2010! My husband works at the University of Denver and we have two small children.
I love family medicine and the opportunity to work cooperatively with patients to achieve good health. My scope of practice includes many areas – chronic and acute medical problems, physical exams, and I especially enjoy women's health. I also have special interest in diabetes and am a certified diabetes educator (CDE). Ask me about low-carb diets for better diabetes control! I strive to communicate clearly with my patients and to help educate you on relevant medical issues.
I believe that our mind, body and spirit must be in balance in order to feel our best. I also believe food should be our medicine, and my family enjoys cooking delicious food with fresh ingredients. I love spending time with my husband and kids, who bring real joy to my life despite its busyness. We often go to the Botanical Gardens, Museum of Nature and Science (my son loves dinosaurs), University of Denver sports events, and gatherings with friends.
