Where I practice
I grew up in a small coal mining town in western Pennsylvania. I graduated from the United States Military Academy and subsequently received my medical schooling and orthopedic training through the military. I spent 24 years in the Army with a variety of stateside and overseas assignments before joining Kaiser Permanente. I feel fortunate to have lived in Colorado for most of the past 30 years as I love the climate and mountains. I am married to a former Army nurse and have two grown boys, one currently in the Navy.
About my practice
I enjoy what I do as an Orthopedist because it allows me to provide a “fix” for a large percentage of my patients. I treat every patient as an individual and work to provide a solution for your musculoskeletal condition whenever possible. I am a General Orthopedist with areas of expertise in foot and ankle surgery and fracture care. I work with an excellent group of physicians and staff to coordinate my patients’ care. I believe in providing you as much information as possible concerning your condition so that you can make an informed decision regarding your treatment.
How I thrive
I have always been an active and health conscious person. I like being in the outdoors, the open spaces and the mountains. I regularly exercise at a fitness club two or three times a week. I enjoy playing golf, skiing and hiking. I host a weekly pool night with friends on my basement pool table. My wife and I enjoy traveling and visiting family when possible. I try to maintain a balance in my life between work and leisure activities and strive to always find some quiet time during a hectic day.
