Where I practice
I grew up in Michigan and decided to move to Colorado with my husband in the early 1980s for the wonderful weather and our magnificent mountains. I have one amazing son who is a graduate of CU. We enjoy spending time with our other “kids” – Rosie, our yellow Labrador; Ollie, our cat; and Stripes, our turtle! I started my career as an occupational therapist in 1980 and returned to school in 1990 to specialize in podiatry. I thoroughly enjoy my profession and helping patients improve their health by making healthy choices.
About my practice
I have enjoyed working on the foot team at the Lone Tree Medical Offices and try to improve the quality of life for my patients by keeping them active and on their feet! I believe medicine is a science as well as an art. It requires a partnership between the patient and physician, and therapeutic use of the whole person to achieve success. I’ll listen to understand your questions and concerns so we can develop a treatment plan that meets your needs. I specialize in forefoot surgery, diabetic foot care, and in conservative measures to try to prevent surgery as well. I treat patients of all ages, with the exception of pediatric surgery which is handled by our pediatric orthopedist.
How I thrive
I enjoy hiking, camping, biking and all things Irish! I love to read and am notorious for devouring a few books in a weekend. I am currently working toward my master’s degree in public health at CU and hope to use that knowledge to improve the health of our communities inside and outside of Kaiser Permanente.
