Where I practice
Colorado has treated me well. I grew up in Denver, graduated from South High School in Denver, and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. Now, my wife and I are raising our children here, and with my work at Kaiser Permanente, I get to give back and improve the lives of Coloradans in the north metro area. I believe it is impossible to care for the human body and psyche without considering the complexity and interdependence between all of a person’s organ systems, psychological state and lifestyle. Practicing internal medicine allows me the space to think that way and really care for someone and their family. My physician colleagues are top-notch clinicians, and the network of services that Kaiser Permanente provides its members gives me the confidence to know that the care plans that I create with my patients can be fully actualized.
About my practice
As a hospital medicine physician, my practice is limited to adults who are hospitalized. I work with a team of great internists who act as your collective primary care physician 24 hours a day, seven days a week while you are in the hospital. We collaborate with medical and surgical specialists, nursing staff, pharmacists, and therapists to bring multidisciplinary excellence to inpatient care. When it is time for discharge, we communicate with your outpatient providers and help arrange outpatient referrals so that you can have seamless transitions when returning home.
How I thrive
When I’m not in the hospital, you can find me hiking the Colorado mountains, exploring rugged trails with my off-road vehicle, using oil paints to capture nature’s beauty on canvas, or checking out live jazz musicians around town.
