Where I practice
I grew up in a small town of less than 4,000 people in central Ohio. From there, I attended a combined, accelerated undergraduate/medical school program at the Northeast Ohio Medical University, and completed my dermatology residency at Washington University in St. Louis. My wife and I moved to Colorado immediately after I completed residency so we could take advantage of the outdoors and have an active lifestyle. I truly enjoy the coordination of care within Kaiser Permanente, and think it is the ideal setting to care for my patients.
About my practice
I am passionate about treating patients with complex or difficult-to-treat skin conditions, such as severe eczema or psoriasis, blistering skin diseases, and autoimmune diseases including Lupus and Dermatomyositis. I also focus my efforts on preventing and treating skin cancer. Our group is able to provide high-quality skin care to a wide variety of patients. We offer phototherapy, photodynamic therapy (blue light), and have a skin cancer surgeon (Mohs surgeon) on site. We do not offer cosmetic services, but rather focus on medical dermatology. I like to have patients actively involved in their care, and enjoy forming a partnership where we collaboratively make decisions. For your convenience, we can email you test results and I will respond to medical questions through email.
How I thrive
I love to fly fish, hike, backpack, camp and snowshoe. I enjoy the simplicity of being outdoors and just relishing the moment. I also enjoy spending time with my two sons and experiencing the outdoors with them.
