Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I was born in Chico, California, and was moved to Colorado by the military in 1997. I have been happily married to my husband since 1995. We have two cats who are children and enjoy spending time with friends and family. I was a pediatrician for 13 years before deciding to become a pediatric dermatologist. My most rewarding achievement in being a physician is helping children with chronic or genetic skin disease live a better life by getting their skin disease either cured or under good control.
My practice is always patient-centered. I strive to form a partnership with my patients and their families, realizing that we all have a role in the treatment of skin disease. I listen and seek to understand your concerns, and can answer some questions by email, phone or video visit. I work closely with my patient’s Primary Care provider with regards to follow-up and treatment plans. I primarily see pediatric patients, but occasionally I see adult patients at the Franklin Medical Offices. I also provide skin care and consultation for the LGBT community.
I volunteer at the Caritas Clinic where I help and teach the Saint Joseph Hospital residents as they care for the underserved population. I also help out at Children’s Hospital once a month in the Epidermolysis Bullosa Center of Excellence, which I developed many years ago when I worked at Children’s Hospital. Both my husband and I love to cook and entertain friends and family. We describe our cooking style as casual elegance.
