Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I grew up in a small town in Northern California. I completed my undergraduate and graduate schooling at California State University at Chico. I attended a military medical school called Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, and completed my pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital in Washington, DC. After spending 16 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service, I had the opportunity to return back to school at the University of Colorado, where I completed my Dermatology training and my pediatric dermatology fellowship. I have been happily married to my partner of 18 years.
I primarily do pediatric dermatology, but I also see adults in my dermatology practice. I have a patient centered approach to health care. I see my job as being a partner for my patients and their families guiding them through the sometimes complex health care system. I do my best to provide my patients with the most up to date information and data so we can develop a treatment plan that treats the problem but also so that my patients can adhere to the plan in order to get better.
I love waking up every morning and coming to work. I have not had that pleasure in most of my jobs but since joining Kaiser Permanente, I just love coming to work. I get my strength from my patients, my family, and my faith. I enjoy cooking and entertaining as well as many outdoor activities such as running and hiking. Eric and I get recharged by going down to our cabin in Southern Colorado and being outdoors in the mountains.
