Where I practice
I am a 5th generation native from a large, Italian family. I love to cook, be outdoors and spend time with my family. I am a huge sports fan but was raised enjoying the arts as well. Just after graduating from high school, I traveled with “Up With People,” where I was able to impact hundreds of communities through community service opportunities, while learning about various cultures and people. After earning my degree, I was a birthparent counselor for several years at an open adoption agency. Years later, I joined a hospice team as their Bereavement Coordinator. I have been honored to walk alongside many who are grieving to help guide them through that process. For the past 20+ years, I have also taught Introduction to Psychology through a local college and have loved staying connected to my roots. I truly enjoy joining with my clients to accomplish their goals.
About my practice
I am a supportive care specialist who provides emotional support and life care planning for our members.
How I thrive
I thrive by doing what I encourage my clients to do - good self-care. I exercise, drink lots of water (you will see my large, water jug if you come and meet with me), eat healthy, get rest and do things that rejuvenate me. I love to take the dog for a walk in the evenings or sometimes to just sit and chillax while watching one of my favorite shows. Cooking for my family is something I really enjoy as well as sitting by the fire-pit in the evening after eating a yummy dinner. Volunteering is something else that fuels me so I take advantage of our company's wonderful program to volunteer eight hours a month through various organizations that they have partnered with.
