Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Female
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I grew up in Rhode Island with a supportive, loving family. My mom, always interested in medicine, watched countless hours of medical TV programs. Her enthusiasm and the fun we had watching those programs sparked my passion and pursuit of the medical field. I left home to peruse a college education in Colorado and earned a degree in exercise sports science and a minor in Psychology of the aging adult. I worked various jobs in the sports industry and developed a career as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. During this time, I knew I wanted to be more directly involved in patient care. I enrolled in college courses to meet the requirements needed to become a physician assistant. With luck, determination and passion I graduated from Red Rocks Community College physician assistant program in 2009. To this date, I truly enjoy my profession and strive to make a difference in the care, education and treatment of patients.
As a physician assistant for family medicine and internal medicine, I enjoy seeing patients who span the age spectrum. My degree in exercise science lends to a deeper understanding of musculoskeletal conditions, management, treatment, and the prevention of injuries. I enjoy spending time educating and working as a part of a team that focuses on preventative medicine and maintaining wellness.
In my spare time I go to a boxing gym, mountain bike, hike, cook and read. My husband and I travel as much as time allows and maintain a healthy balance between work and life.
