Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Female
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I was born and raised in Boulder, and then went to the University of California-Davis for my undergraduate studies. I have always been good at math and science, and optometry is the perfect combination of both. After getting my Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of California-Berkeley, I moved back home to Colorado. I've been very happy with my career at Kaiser Permanente because it's the perfect blend of technology and human interaction. There's always something new to learn!
I believe it's really important to connect personally with the people I care for. I'm always interested to learn about you as an individual, not just as a pair of eyeballs. Losing vision is a very basic fear among most humans, so I try to be sensitive and caring when the person I'm working with is nervous or afraid. I will do everything I can to make your life better. The more you partner with me in this endeavor, the more successful we will be. Your electronic medical record helps me to see the big picture of your health, so we can make good use of our time together and I can answer your questions.
I have three children who are almost adults, and I'm incredibly proud of all of them and the people they are becoming. My greatest joy is spending time with them and our animals. In my spare time, I'm an avid movie-goer, love to read books (especially biographies and memoirs) and am also recently learning how to do wood carving.
