Where I practice
I have been practicing pediatrics since 1992 after completing my training in Philadelphia. I grew up in New York City and moved to Denver during the mid-1990s, where I met my husband. Our daughter and my husband's three older boys from a previous marriage keep us very busy. We enjoy spending time together and much of our vacation time is spent with extended family on the East Coast. I chose to become a pediatrician in order to work with children for a living. I've always believed that I could use pediatrics as a practical and challenging way to advocate for children in the larger community and care for them individually as well. I love the continual challenge of medicine and enjoy watching my patients thrive and grow. Prior to joining Colorado Permanente Medical Group, I worked at Children's Hospital in Denver caring for children with special health care needs.
About my practice
I am a general pediatrician and have always enjoyed the challenge and variety in primary care. I love getting to know children and feel strongly that it's essential to know their lives, families and cultures on a personal level. I believe that it is a privilege to be a physician and that ideal health care is provided in a medical home where all the needs of a patient can be met.
How I thrive
I thrive in large part by taking care of my daughter and watching her grow. I enjoy spending time in her classroom and getting to know her teachers and friends. I feel a great sense of pride and enjoyment from maintaining and expanding my knowledge base in order to be successful at work. I enjoy planting flowers, exercising and the occasional knitting project, but I enjoy reading and trips to the ocean most of all. As my daughter gets older I hope to become involved in community volunteer work and to learn Spanish.
