Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Female
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I am originally from Pennsylvania, but have lived all over the U.S. thanks to the military. I served in the U.S. Navy from 2002-2013, during which time I completed my General Surgery residency and Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery fellowship. I was deployed twice, both times to ships off the Horn of Africa. When it came time to find a civilian job, I was incredibly blessed to find a home at Kaiser Permanente in Denver.
My training is in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. Having come from a family where most members struggle with obesity, I feel a close affinity to my patients. I really feel that success requires a multidisciplinary approach. Our multifaceted team at Kaiser Permanente allows us to treat the whole patient in a coordinated fashion. I hope that my patients come away from our time together with a renewed sense of purpose and a knowledge that their success is my foremost goal. Our Bariatric Surgery department serves members 18 years of age or older.
I try to find a good work-life balance. I’m fortunate that I love what I do for work. Since my kids are still young, I don’t have much free time, but when I do, I love to read, garden and build things. I enjoy traveling and try to find the opportunity to learn about new cultures, taste new food and meet new people. I enjoy being outdoors and am learning to ski, stand up paddleboard and mountain bike.
