My office is accepting new patients. Please call 1-855-208-7221.
I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, the middle of three girls. I always loved science and worked in a genetics lab at Johns Hopkins when I was a teenager. I decided to become a doctor at Brown University when I realized that I missed human interaction when working in a lab. I am so happy I made the decision to become a physician. Helping patients and hearing their stories is one of the great joys of my life. I now have two daughters of my own and love watching them develop their interests. My husband is a wildlife conservation biologist and we love to travel as a family.
I am a generalist in Ob/Gyn, which means some days you can find me delivering babies or doing cesarean sections, and other days I am in the office providing routine women’s health visits. I love the diversity of Ob/Gyn and enjoy seeing all kinds of patients with a variety of health problems. I believe in helping women find the highest quality, affordable health care solution that is consistent with their values. A patient of mine once told me she thought of me as her sister. It was the greatest compliment since I try to treat all of my patients like they are my family. I work very hard to educate my patients and help them make informed decisions. I see my patients as partners in their health.
I maintain my inner strength through family, friends and exercise. My favorite thing to do is to take a bike ride with my husband and daughters, or with friends. I relax by sewing or cooking. I'm not very good at either but still have fun. My mom taught me to make pies, saying, “If you make a good homemade pie, it won't matter what else you can cook.”
