About me

I’m originally from the Midwest and always enjoyed spending time in Colorado. I love the climate and spending time outdoors, especially hiking and skiing. My husband and I have two young children and a dog. My first career was in teaching, and later I decided to become a physician. The most rewarding part of being a physician for me is when I am able to provide information to families who have been searching for answers for a long time, and then using this information to help improve their medical care.

About my practice

I chose to be a medical geneticist because this is a field that involves putting all the patient information together, using this information to make a clinical diagnosis and then choosing appropriate genetic testing that could result in an impact on clinical management for the patient. I enjoy the occasional opportunity to care for entire families. I work with a genetic counselor, who collects a thorough family history, helps with the genetic testing and provides counseling for the patient and family members. I always try to treat all my patients and their family members as I would want my own family to be treated. I take the time to get to know my patients and listen to understand their questions and concerns. I offer my patients convenience and can answer some questions by kp.org message, phone or video visit. I work as a team with our primary care providers, specialists and others to coordinate my patients’ care.

How I thrive

I thrive by spending time with my family and getting outdoors whenever I can.

Information in this online directory is updated periodically and applies to commercial plans underwritten by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado. The availability of physicians, hospitals, providers, and services may change. To verify whether a provider accepts Kaiser Permanente plans, contact the provider directly. Current provider information is available at kp.org/locations. This information is updated within 72 business hours of receipt from providers. Kaiser Permanente of Colorado attempts to ensure the online directory contains up-to-date information. However, providers are responsible for notifying kp.org of any changes to their information, and untimely communication may result in outdated provider information appearing on the website. The printed directory is current as of the date of publication. Kaiser Permanente is not responsible for use of outdated directories.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.

Information about a practitioner is provided to us by the practitioner or the practitioner's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process. An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.

To report any inaccuracies in the directory, contact Member Services. Members may also report inaccuracies at kp.org/memberservices.

Referrals to affiliated/contracted physicians/providers in Denver/Boulder

Affiliated/contracted physicians/providers are not part of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG). They are physicians/providers who have a contract with the CPMG.

If your CPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from CPMG, he or she will refer you to an affiliated/contracted physician/provider.

You must have a written referral to the affiliated/contracted physician/provider in order for Kaiser Permanente Colorado to cover the services. A referral is a written authorization from Kaiser Permanente for you to receive a covered service from an affiliated/contracted physician/provider.
