Where I practice
It was quite a change when I decided to move to Colorado, since I grew up and attended nursing school in Florida. My family is from Colorado, so loving mountain activities and enjoying the outdoor life Colorado offers came easy for me. The events and daily surprises that come with having two children, one large dog, and one very large dog keep me busy and humble. For 5 years prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I gained knowledge and experience in the intricate world of the neonatal intensive care. After caring for the neonates, I transitioned to fertility nursing. In 2009, I began my work as a nurse practitioner. I am of the few people who can say I absolutely love my job. I am proud to help moms and babies obtain their best health. It is a joy to watch new families find independence and confidence in their new roles.
About my practice
I work with new mothers and infants in both the hospital and home setting. I drive myself to provide the optimum care to each patient while finding the best options to successfully meet their health goals. My priority is my patients’ goals and how they envision caring for their family. I plan together with them to achieve the best outcomes possible.
How I thrive
I thrive by having time with my family, thus my love for working with other families. Collectively, we search for adventure and love the outdoors. The last few years have included traveling and many obstacle races. We enjoy athletic training, competing, and getting a little dirty in the process! Physical activity is important to me, but I also love a good book. I am goal-driven and seek to devote at least 15 minutes a day to self-development. Audible books keep me company as I crisscross the Denver metro area to visit my patients.
