Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Female
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I am from New Orleans, LA and have spent most of my life in southern Louisiana. I have a master’s in social work from Tulane University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I have worked as a clinical social worker and therapist for the past five years, specializing in the areas of eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma, women’s issues, grief and loss, and spirituality. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and I enjoy using a mindfulness and a body-centered approach to healing. Working at Kaiser Permanente has offered me great opportunity to work with diverse populations, proudly witnessing their change and healing.
I began working with victims of trauma and abuse while I was a graduate student and intern at the New Orleans Family Justice Center. Through that experience, I gained a great passion for working with victims of sexual abuse and violence. I am passionate about working with victims of trauma and abuse, grief and loss issues, and with those struggling with eating and body image issues.
I love being a therapist, and have always known I would do this for a living. It is a unique and inspiring role to provide witness to peoples’ change and healing. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients' care. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve.
I do a lot to thrive in mind, body, spirit. I love hiking, skiing, doing yoga, and spending time with my family and friends. I try to do something outside several times a week, have time in stillness, explore new restaurants with friends, and SLEEP! I try to stay connected with family and friends by facetiming with them at least weekly. My nephews and niece never fail to bring me joy and laughter after a long day!
